We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Design Engineer with 1 to 4 years of experience in building construction and Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) projects. The candidate should have strong expertise in design, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and foundation design, along with hands-on experience in project execution support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on drawings and project requirements
- Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimation for civil and structural works
- Design and analyze foundations for various structures, including equipment foundations
- Perform basic PEB structure design calculations and coordinate with PEB vendors
- Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Prepare GFC (Good for Construction) drawings and assist in design development
- Conduct site visits for validation of design inputs and coordination with execution teams
- Assist in value engineering and cost optimization
- Ensure compliance with relevant IS codes, standards, and safety norms
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical,
vendors, consultants)
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and rate analysis
- Experience in cost estimation and budgeting
- Understanding of PEB structures and industrial building systems
- Proficiency in foundation design and basic structural calculations
- Familiarity with IS Codes and construction standards
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and coordination abilities
Software Skills:
- AutoCAD (mandatory)
- STAAD Pro / ETABS / SAFE (preferred)
- MS Excel (advanced level for BOQ & estimation)
Educational Qualification:
- B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in industrial projects, warehouses, EV infrastructure, or PEB structures
- Exposure to tendering, vendor coordination, and site execution support
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel for site visits if required
