Role Description The Civil Designer is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for preparing and reviewing civil engineering drawings and documentation for EPCC projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing detailed site plans, grading layouts, and erosion control designs, as well as designing stormwater and drainage systems that comply with local regulations and project standards. The role involves coordinating with engineering, project management, and construction teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated into field execution.

The Civil

Designer will support design calculations, maintain design files and revisions,



and assist in resolving technical issues that arise during project implementation. The position requires proactive collaboration, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in civil engineering design, including preparation of detailed drawings and layouts for infrastructure and industrial projects.
- Experience with site plans and grading, including earthwork calculations, layout of utilities, and coordination with architectural and structural designs.
- Knowledge of erosion control methods and standards, with the ability to incorporate appropriate mitigation measures into project designs.
- Practical experience in stormwater and stormwater management design, including drainage systems, detention/retention solutions, and regulatory compliance.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field, with relevant experience as a Civil Designer or Design Engineer.
- Proficiency in CAD and civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent) and familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams on-site in Chennai.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in alignment with company HSE and QA/QC practices.
