Purpose of Job
This position is part of the core operational ecosystem of Carbon Registry India (CR-I). The role is key because CR-I is building a lean but high-impact carbon registry and standards ecosystem focused on methodologies, registry services, partnerships, accreditations, and climate market infrastructure.
The CRI Operations Manager will support the operationalization and scaling of CR-I’s registry workflows, methodology coordination activities, project onboarding processes, stakeholder coordination, documentation management, standards administration, building strategic relationship across project developers, climate organizations, industry bodies to support strategic collaboration, partnership outreach, ecosystem engagement initiatives.
The selected candidate will work closely with the CEO to support strategic collaboration, partnership outreach, ecosystem engagement initiatives., NCCF Secretariat, and external ecosystem stakeholders including project developers, validation and verification bodies (VVBs), methodology developers, consultants, and institutional partners.
Candidates with backgrounds in carbon markets, GHG accounting, climate programs, carbon registries, environmental markets, or sustainability operations will have a strong advantage.
Essential Qualifications A recognized university degree in climate change, sustainability, environmental management, engineering, energy, business management, or related disciplines.
Candidates with GHG accounting exposure, carbon market understanding, or climate program experience will be preferred.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Candidates with prior experience in carbon registries, carbon projects, GHG programs, sustainability operations, environmental markets, methodology management, standards development, or validation & verification ecosystems and business development will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate registry operations and standards workflows
· Support methodology onboarding, review, revisions, and lifecycle tracking
· Coordinate project onboarding and documentation management
· Coordinate with VVBs, consultants, methodology developers, and project developers
· Maintain registry documentation and audit-ready operational records
· Track methodology and project lifecycle stages
· Support issuance, retirement, and registry administration activities
· Develop and maintain operational SOPs and workflow trackers
· Support stakeholder consultation and review coordination
· Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and management summaries
· Support development, review, and revision of CR-I standards, procedures, operational guidelines,
and governance documentation
· Coordinate with NCCF Secretariat on registry, methodology, standards, and operational matters
· Support coordination and documentation activities related to international recognitions and endorsements including CORSIA, ICROA ICVCM etc
· Assist in maintaining alignment of CR-I procedures and operational frameworks with evolving international carbon market expectations
· Develop partnerships across carbon markets and climate ecosystems
· Engage project developers, industry associations, and sustainability organizations
· Support onboarding of project pipelines and sectoral programs
· Coordinate strategic collaborations and MoUs
· Represent CR-I in ecosystem discussions, conferences, and meetings
· Support institutional and international engagement activities
· Coordinate workshops, outreach programs, and ecosystem initiatives
· Support growth of registry adoption and standards visibility
· Build relationships with ecosystem stakeholders and sectoral organizations

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with the role, responsibilities, qualifications, and experience of the selected candidate.
