We are hiring for the Associate Business Analyst - Life Insurance & OIPA

Job Summary:

- We are looking for an Associate Business Analyst with strong Life Insurance domain knowledge and practical experience with Oracle OIPA and front-end/digital insurance applications.
- The candidate will work with business stakeholders, senior BAs, product owners, developers, OIPA configurators, integration and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into clear functional requirements and system solutions.
- Ideal candidate understands the end-to-end Life Insurance policy lifecycle and has hands-on experience in requirement gathering, functional analysis, solution design, documentation and testing support.

Roles & Responsibility:- Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering:

- Participate in requirement-gathering sessions; analyse As-Is / define To-Be processes; identify gaps, improvements, dependencies and system impacts.
- Document functional & business requirements, business rules, validations, process flows and exception scenarios; support walkthroughs and sign-off.
- Perform functional impact analysis for changes; identify missing/ambiguous requirements through effective questioning.

Life Insurance Domain & OIPA Functional Knowledge

- Apply knowledge of full policy lifecycle: quotation, application, underwriting, issuance, premium/billing, servicing, alterations, endorsements, reinstatement, lapse, surrender, maturity, cancellation, claims, refunds, commissions and communications.
- Translate business requirements into OIPA functional requirements (transactions, activities, rules, calculations, validations, billing, payments, batch, correspondence, integrations).
- Work with OIPA configurators/developers; review proposed solutions; analyse impacts; support implementation, enhancement, migration or upgrade projects.

Front-End / Digital & Functional Solution Design

- Define screen-level requirements, fields, validations, workflows,



roles, documents, notifications and end-to-end user journeys.
- Define functional data mapping and API request/response needs; ensure front-end validations align with OIPA business rules.
- Contribute to end-to-end solution design (Front End API OIPA Downstream); define normal/exception/error scenarios and system ownership of rules.

Documentation, Collaboration, Testing & Agile

- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, FSDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, screen specs, API requirements, data mapping, RTMs and clear implementation-ready documentation.
- Collaborate with SMEs, POs, Senior BAs, Dev, OIPA, Integration, UI/UX and QA; clarify requirements; track questions and communicate impacts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies; break requirements into stories with testable acceptance criteria; support estimation and prioritization

Skills:

- Strong Life Insurance domain & policy admin experience
- Good working knowledge of Oracle OIPA on Life projects
- Requirement gathering, functional analysis, solution design & documentation
- Understanding of front-end insurance apps and APIs/integrations
- Experience working with development and QA teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written & verbal communication Good to Have
- OIPA implementation / enhancement experience
- OIPA product / Life product configuration knowledge
- Digital insurance platform experience
- REST APIs, JSON and basic SQL knowledge
- Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or similar tools
- Agile / Scrum experience
- Insurance transformation or application modernisation
