• Supervise drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, hauling, and dumping operations.
• Ensure secure operation of heavy earth-moving machinery (HEMM) such as shovels, excavators, dumpers, dozers, graders, and drills.
• Inspect working faces, haul roads, benches, dump yards, and mine equipment regularly.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and violations of safety regulations.
• Monitor deployment and productivity of machines and manpower.
• Maintain production records, shift reports, and operational logs.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers before commencement of work.
• Ensure compliance with provisions of the Mines Act, Metalliferous Mines Regulations, and DGMS guidelines.
