1. Position Overview

Anand Rathi IT Private Limited is looking for an experienced BI Developer with 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, MIS/BIS reporting and dashboard development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining interactive BI dashboards, MIS reports and analytical solutions using tools such as Power BI, TruBI, Tableau and other visualization platforms.

The role also involves working with Python and React-based dashboards, integrating front-end applications with backend data sources and collaborating with Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Business and Application teams to deliver reliable and scalable reporting solutions.

1. Key Responsibilities

A. BI & Dashboard Development
- Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations using TruBI, Tableau and other BI/visualization tools.
- Translate business requirements into effective dashboards, reports and analytical solutions.
- Develop MIS, BIS, operational, management and analytical dashboards.
- Create drill-down, drill-through, filters, slicers, KPIs and other interactive dashboard components.
- Develop dashboards for different business functions and management stakeholders.
- Optimize dashboard performance, data models and visualization queries.

B. MIS / BIS Reporting
- Understand business requirements and convert them into structured MIS/BIS reporting solutions.
- Develop daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc MIS reports.
- Automate recurring reports and reduce manual reporting activities.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency and reconciliation of dashboard/reporting data.
- Implement appropriate KPI definitions, calculations and business rules.
- Support management reporting and decision-support dashboards.

C. Data Integration & Backend Connectivity
- Integrate BI dashboards with backend data sources such as:

- SQL Server

- MySQL

- PostgreSQL

- Oracle

- APIs
- Data Lake / Data Warehouse

- Cloud storage

- Other enterprise data sources
- Develop SQL queries, views and data extraction logic required for reporting.
- Work with Data Engineering teams for data pipelines and curated datasets.
- Validate source-to-report data flow and perform data reconciliation.
- Understand data models, relationships, dimensions, facts and reporting layers.

D. Python-Based Dashboard Development
- Develop data-driven applications and dashboards using Python.




- Work with Python frameworks/libraries such as:

- Pandas

- NumPy

- Plotly
- Streamlit / Dash or equivalent frameworks
- Develop data processing and visualization logic using Python.
- Integrate Python dashboards with backend databases and APIs.
- Automate reporting and data-processing activities using Python scripts.

E. React-Based Dashboard Development
- Develop or contribute to React-based business dashboards and reporting applications.
- Integrate React front-end applications with backend APIs and data services.
- Consume REST APIs and display dynamic business/analytical data.
- Work with backend development teams for API and data integration.
- Implement reusable UI components for dashboards and reporting applications.
- Ensure responsive and user-friendly dashboard interfaces.

F. Data Quality & Performance
- Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems and reports.
- Identify data discrepancies and coordinate with Data Engineering/Application teams for resolution.
- Optimize SQL queries and dashboard data models.
- Monitor dashboard refreshes and resolve data refresh failures.
- Ensure dashboards meet agreed performance and availability requirements.

G. Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Business, Product, Data Engineering, Data Architecture and Application teams.
- Participate in requirement-gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
- Prepare technical and functional documentation for BI solutions.
- Provide support for UAT, production deployment and post-production issues.
- Understand business processes and convert them into measurable KPIs.

Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in BI / Data Visualization / MIS development.
- Hands-on experience in Power BI.
- Experience with at least one additional BI tool such as TruBI or Tableau.
- Strong SQL knowledge.
- Experience developing MIS/BIS dashboards and management reports.
- Experience working with multiple data sources.

Preferred
- Experience with Python-based dashboard development.
- Experience with React-based dashboards.
- Experience integrating dashboards with APIs/backend systems.
- Experience in financial services, wealth management or capital markets.
- Exposure to cloud/data-lake environments.
