Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Ayurvedic Therapist role based at the Club Mahindra resort in Ahmedabad.
The Ayurvedic
Therapist will perform a range of Ayurvedic treatments and therapies, including massages, body treatments, and wellness rituals, in alignment with established protocols and safety standards. The role involves assessing guest needs, explaining treatment options, maintaining a calm and professional environment, and ensuring an exceptional wellness experience for each guest. Daily responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, managing therapy schedules, maintaining hygiene and equipment, and accurately documenting therapies provided.
The therapist will collaborate with the resort wellness team, promote Ayurvedic wellness services to guests, and support special wellness programs and packages offered by the resort.
Qualifications
- Formal training and certification in Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Panchakarma, or Ayurvedic spa/therapy from a recognized institute.
- Hands-on experience in Ayurvedic massage, body therapies, and wellness treatments in a spa, resort, or clinic setting.
- Knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, basic anatomy and physiology, and contraindications for common therapies.
- Strong guest service orientation, with the ability to communicate clearly, maintain confidentiality, and build trust with diverse guests.
- Ability to work in a resort environment, including flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays, while maintaining professional conduct.
- Attention to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in treatment rooms and handling of oils, herbs, and equipment.
- Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to working with wellness, front office, and housekeeping teams.
- Basic proficiency in English and local languages; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Prior experience in hospitality or wellness resorts is preferred; fresh certified therapists with solid practical skills may also be considered.
