Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced AVP – Automation to lead our Automation and Quality Engineering practice. The role involves technology leadership, hands-on automation expertise, delivery ownership, client management, team leadership, P&L; ownership, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead large Automation & Quality Engineering teams across multiple client engagements.
- Define automation strategy, frameworks, technology roadmap, and delivery standards.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across Web, Mobile, API, RPA, Database, Cloud, and CI/CD automation.
- Drive adoption of modern technologies including AI/GenAI-led testing and intelligent automation.
- Manage end-to-end delivery including scope, estimation, planning, resources, timelines, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Own revenue, cost, utilization, margins, profitability, and P&L;.
- Manage senior client stakeholders and act as an escalation point for technology and delivery matters.
- Mentor and develop Automation Leads, Technical Leads, Managers, and Delivery Leaders.
- Drive pre-sales activities including RFP/RFI, solutioning, estimations, POCs, and client presentations.




- Identify opportunities for account growth and recent automation engagements.

Required Skills & Experience

- 15+ years of experience in Software Testing, Automation, Quality Engineering, or Technology Delivery.
- Strong hands-on experience with multiple automation tools/frameworks, including Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, UiPath, REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalent.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
- Experience in API, Mobile, Web, RPA, CI/CD, DevOps, and Cloud testing/automation.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks and solutions.
- Proven experience in large-team leadership, end-to-end delivery, resource management, and client management.
- Proven experience with P&L;, revenue, margins, utilization, and project profitability.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in pre-sales, solutioning, or account growth is an advantage.
- BFSI domain experience is preferred, particularly Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Payments, or FinTech.

Mandatory Criteria

- 15+ years relevant experience
- Strong Automation & Technology Leadership
- Hands-on experience across multiple automation tools, including UiPath
- Large-team and end-to-end delivery experience
- P&L; and commercial ownership
- Strong client-facing experience

Candidates combining hands-on automation expertise with technology leadership, delivery ownership, and business acumen will be preferred.
