Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Automation Tester to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and ensure thequality and reliability of business-critical applications. The ideal candidatewill have strong hands-on experience in automation testing, API testing,functional testing, and Agile delivery environments.

Experience working on Banking / Financial Servicesapplications will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web and application platforms.
- Develop and enhance scalable and reusable test automation frameworks .
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Automate test scenarios using tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Java, TestNG, Cucumber, or equivalent technologies .
- Perform API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects through their lifecycle.
- Perform root-cause analysis of test failures and collaborate closely with development teams for resolution.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines .
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Monitor automation results and continuously improve test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.




- Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to automation best practices and quality standards.

Required Skills Experience

- 78 years of overall software testing experience with strong hands-on exposure to automation testing.
- Strong programming/scripting knowledge, preferably Java .
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks.
- Experience with TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber/BDD , or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of API testing and REST-based services.
- Experience with Postman, REST Assured, or similar API testing tools.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database validation .
- Experience using defect/project management tools such as Jira .
- Understanding of Git/version control and CI/CD concepts.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments .
- Robust understanding of STLC, SDLC, test methodologies, defect lifecycle, and quality assurance practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Banking, FinTech, Financial Services, or Private Banking applications .
- Understanding of banking products, workflows, transactions, or related business processes.
- Experience with modern automation tools/frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress would be an advantage.
- Exposure to performance testing and/or mobile application testing is an added advantage.
- Experience working with cloud-based applications and DevOps environments is desirable.

Educational Qualification Bachelors degree in Computer Science, InformationTechnology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
