About the RoleJKR Consulting & Services is looking for an experienced AutoCAD RCC Structural Draughtsman to join our structural engineering team in Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed RCC structural drawings based on engineering designs, specifications, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed RCC structural drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop GA drawings, foundation layouts, column layouts, beam layouts, slab layouts, and structural details.
- Prepare reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedule (BBS) as per structural design requirements.
- Prepare detailed drawings for footings, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, retaining walls, pile foundations, pile caps, etc.
- Interpret structural design drawings, sketches, calculations, and engineering instructions.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, MEP teams, and other disciplines to resolve drawing-related issues.
- Incorporate design revisions and maintain updated drawing records.
- Ensure drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and applicable IS Codes.




- Perform drawing checking and maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality of deliverables.
- Prepare shop drawings and construction/detailing drawings as required.
- Support the project team during drawing review, coordination, and submission processes.

Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Good knowledge of RCC structural detailing and reinforcement detailing.
- Understanding of structural drawings and construction practices.
- Knowledge of IS 456, IS 13920 and relevant Indian structural standards.
- Good understanding of BBS and reinforcement detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret structural design drawings.
- Knowledge of layers, blocks, dimensions, annotation, XREF, plotting, and drawing standards in AutoCAD.
- Positive coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

QualificationDiploma / ITI / Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. Preferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in commercial buildings, high-rise buildings, industrial projects, data centers, hospitals, infrastructure, or other large-scale RCC projects will be preferred.
