AutoCAD Engineer – Electrical Design

Job Summary

We are looking for an AutoCAD Engineer to join our team in Siliguri. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing electrical drawings, layouts and technical designs for the company's products, particularly automated switches, electrical systems and related products.

The candidate will work closely with the engineering, production and management teams to develop accurate and practical electrical designs suitable for manufacturing and installation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed electrical drawings and designs using AutoCAD.
- Develop electrical layouts and technical drawings for automated switches, switch modules and related electrical products.
- Prepare wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams, connection diagrams and schematic drawings.
- Prepare drawings for electrical panels, control systems and associated components where required.
- Convert engineering concepts and requirements into accurate CAD drawings.
- Modify and update existing electrical drawings as per engineering requirements.
- Prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing and assembly purposes.
- Ensure proper dimensions, specifications, component references and electrical connections are shown in drawings.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure that designs are practical for manufacturing.
- Assist in developing new electrical/electronic product designs.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions and design documents.




- Review drawings for accuracy and identify design or drafting errors.
- Assist in preparing technical documentation and product specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers and other technical personnel regarding design changes.
- Support the testing and development team by providing required electrical drawings and technical information.

Required Skills
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Positive understanding of electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
- Ability to prepare electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Understanding of electrical components, switches, relays, connectors and wiring.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good understanding of dimensions, tolerances and technical specifications.
- Ability to modify and revise drawings based on engineering requirements.




- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of electrical product design and manufacturing will be preferred.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering or related field preferred.
- Candidates with a Diploma and strong AutoCAD skills may also be considered.
- Previous experience in electrical design, CAD drafting, switchgear, electrical products, automation or electronics manufacturing will be an advantage.
- Freshers with strong AutoCAD and electrical design knowledge may also apply.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be technically sound, detail-oriented and capable of converting electrical concepts into accurate manufacturing drawings. The candidate should be willing to work closely with the production and engineering teams and should have an interest in the design and development of automated switches and other electrical/electronic products.

Salary

₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Salary will depend on the candidate's experience, technical skills, AutoCAD proficiency and suitability for the position.
