Role & responsibilities

- Prepare and modify 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD for busducts, enclosures, covers, supports, brackets, and related sheet-metal components.
- Develop sheet-metal designs considering material thickness, bend allowance, bend radius, folding, cutting, punching, and fabrication requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Create detailed fabrication drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, hole patterns, bend details, and material specifications.
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and component details.
- Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, quality, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Modify drawings based on engineering changes, production feedback, and customer requirements.
- Support the preparation of GA drawings, component drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
- Check drawings for accuracy, dimensions, fitment, and manufacturability before release.
- Maintain proper revision control and engineering documentation.
- Assist senior engineers in busduct layout and product development.




- Understand basic mechanical aspects such as sheet-metal fabrication, fasteners, welding, bending, and assembly.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to the production team.

- AutoCAD 2D
- Sheet Metal Design / Fabrication Drawing
- Engineering Drawing Reading
- GD&T; / basic tolerances
- BOM preparation
- Knowledge of sheet-metal bending, punching and fabrication
