Key Responsibilities

Payments Processing

- Manage end-to-end processing of domestic and international payments across APAC markets.

- Review and validate payment instructions, supporting documentation, beneficiary details, and approval requirements.

- Process wire transfers, SWIFT payments, local payments, urgent payments, and internal fund transfers.

- Perform maker-checker controls and ensure payments are released within defined SLAs.

- Validate payment details against approved instructions and established operating procedures.

- Investigate and resolve payment exceptions, rejected payments, returned payments, and failed transactions.

- Coordinate with banks, internal teams, counterparties, and clients on payment-related queries.

- Ensure compliance with internal policies, delegated authorities, and payment controls.

Receipts & Cash Management

- Monitor and process incoming receipts, investor receipts, client collections, and other cash inflows.

- Identify and allocate receipts to the appropriate accounts, funds, entities, or transactions.

- Investigate unidentified and unmatched cash receipts and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.

- Monitor daily cash positions across multiple bank accounts and currencies.

- Track expected inflows and outflows and identify potential cash shortfalls or excess balances.

- Support cash forecasting and liquidity management activities.

- Coordinate intercompany and inter-account fund transfers.

Treasury Operations

- Perform daily treasury activities including cash positioning, liquidity monitoring, funding,



and bank account management.

- Prepare daily cash position and liquidity reports for management.

- Support short-term cash forecasting and funding requirements.

- Monitor bank balances, overdrafts, credit facilities, and cash movements.

- Support foreign currency cash management and FX-related operational activities.

- Coordinate with Treasury, Finance, Operations, and Front/Middle Office teams for funding requirements.

- Assist with opening, closing, and maintaining bank accounts and authorized signatory records.

- Support bank mandate and documentation management.

Bank Reconciliation & Controls

- Perform daily/monthly bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding or aged items.

- Research cash breaks and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.

- Ensure accurate recording of cash movements in accounting/treasury systems.

- Perform control checks over payment batches, bank statements, and cash transactions.

- Maintain appropriate audit trails and supporting documentation.

- Identify operational risks and escalate exceptions in accordance with established procedures.

- Support internal and external audits and provide required documentation.





APAC Market Experience

Experience supporting APAC banking and financial markets is preferred, including exposure to markets such as:

- Singapore

- Hong Kong

- Japan

- China

- India

Knowledge of local payment mechanisms, banking cut-offs, currencies, holidays, settlement timelines, and regulatory/control requirements across APAC markets will be an advantage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.

- 5–8 years of relevant experience in payments, treasury, cash management, banking operations, fund operations, or financial services.

- Strong understanding of payment processing and cash management.

- Experience with bank reconciliations and cash breaks.

- Good knowledge of domestic and international payment processes.

- Exposure to SWIFT / wire transfers / banking portals is preferred.

- Strong understanding of maker-checker and operational control frameworks.

- Experience working with multiple currencies and APAC markets.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within strict deadlines and cut-off times.

- Solid Excel skills;

experience with automation/reporting tools is an advantage.

- Treasury Management Systems

- SWIFT / bank portals

- Bloomberg / Reuters

- Kyriba or other Treasury Management Systems

- Advanced Excel / VBA
