Team Overview The Capital Formation team raises and stewards capital across Stride's fund platform. It works closely with the Managing Partners to build long-term partnerships with a global investor base. The team covers sovereign wealth funds, public and corporate pensions, insurance companies, endowments and foundations, development finance institutions, fund-of-funds, family offices and private wealth platforms across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Role Overview
We are looking for an Associate to join the Capital Formation team in Gurugram. You will play an integral role across the full fundraising lifecycle, from LP origination and engagement through diligence, closing and ongoing relationship management. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and global institutional allocators. It suits a commercially minded professional who wants to help shape the investor franchise of a scaling alternative credit platform.
Principal Responsibilities
LP Coverage and Pipeline Strategy
- Build and refine a targeted global LP pipeline aligned with the firm's fundraising priorities, segmented by geography, investor type and mandate.
- Conduct market mapping and allocator research to identify and prioritize high-conviction prospects.
- Generate new relationships through proactive outreach, consultant and placement-agent channels, referrals and industry events.
- Support existing global LP relationships.
Investor Engagement and Conversion
- Manage investor dialogue from first contact through each stage of the investment process, across time zones.
- Prepare senior leadership for investor meetings, roadshows and conferences with briefing materials, LP profiles and meeting agendas.
- Track and drive next steps on live mandates so that every opportunity progresses on time.
Due Diligence and Data Room Management
- Run the operational due diligence process across concurrent fundraises, including NDAs, DDQs, RFPs, data room governance and investor-specific requests.
- Work with the investment, finance, legal, risk and compliance teams to deliver accurate, timely and consistent responses.
- Maintain a current, institutional-quality library of diligence materials.
Fundraising Execution and Closing
- Support the closing process, including subscription documentation, side letter tracking, KYC/AML onboarding and commitment reconciliation.
- Coordinate with fund administration, legal counsel and internal stakeholders to take investors from commitment to capital readiness.
- Contribute to the smooth execution of first, interim and final closes.
LP Relationship Management and Platform Expansion
- Act as a day-to-day point of contact for existing LPs, providing a high standard of service after commitment.
- Support re-up discussions, co-investment opportunities and cross-fund allocations across Stride's strategies.
- Identify ways to deepen existing relationships and expand investor participation across the platform.
Capital Formation Infrastructure and Reporting
- Keep CRM data and pipeline analytics accurate and owned, as the single source of truth for fundraising activity.
- Contribute to fundraising materials, including pitch books, quarterly LP letters, fund updates and investor reporting.
- Give senior leadership regular reporting on pipeline movement, conversion metrics and fundraising progress.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in investor relations, capital formation, fundraising, placement or client coverage at an AIF, private equity, venture capital or private credit firm, investment bank or asset manager.
- Working knowledge of the institutional fundraising process, including NDAs, DDQs, data rooms and subscription documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the presence to engage senior global allocators.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and rigorous CRM and pipeline discipline
Ability to manage multiple live processes at once in a quick-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to international LPs across the Americas, EMEA or APAC.
- Understanding of private credit and equity and the Indian alternatives landscape, including SEBI AIF, GIFT City, ADGM, CMA and FCA structures.
- MBA, CFA or relevant professional qualification.
- Flexibility to work across time zones and travel internationally as needed
