About the Company The Quality Council of India (QCI) was established in 1997 as a joint initiative by the Government of India and Indian industry, represented by ASSOCHAM, CII, and FICCI. QCI is registered as a not-for-profit society with the objective of establishing and operating a national accreditation structure and promoting quality through the National Quality Campaign. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, is the nodal ministry for QCI.
About the Role
This role involves understanding business requirements, analysing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating business needs into technology solutions. It requires close collaboration with stakeholders and technology teams, along with a good understanding of applications, APIs, databases, and digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Business Understanding & Requirement Discovery
- Develop a deep understanding of business processes, workflows and operational requirements.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand both stated requirements and underlying business problems.
- Conduct structured requirement-gathering discussions with business users and senior stakeholders.
- Business Analysis & Problem Solving
- Analyse business processes, operational data and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Break complex business problems into structured problems that can be addressed through process or technology interventions.
- Prepare business cases and recommendations for technology-led interventions.
- Technology Understanding
- Understand the basic architecture of software applications, portals and digital platforms.
- Participate in discussions around application architecture, databases, APIs, integrations, and data flows.
- Work with architects, developers and technology teams to evaluate proposed solutions.
- Technology Roadmap & Innovation
- Identify technology interventions that can improve operations and scalability.
- Keep abreast of relevant technology developments and assess their applicability to the business.
Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E.: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline OR
- MCA/MCM: Master’s degree in Computer Applications, Computer Management, or a related discipline.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in business analysis, technology consulting, product, technology delivery, digital transformation or a related technology/business-facing role.
- Strong experience in business requirement gathering and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technology requirements.
- Positive understanding of software applications and basic technology architecture.
- Experience working with technology teams and/or external technology partners.
- Ability to independently drive discussions with business and technology stakeholders.
