Role Description The Assistant Professor (Computer Science Engineering) will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science and related areas, delivering lectures, conducting tutorials, and supervising laboratory sessions. The role includes designing and updating curricula, preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, and providing academic mentoring.
The Assistant
Professor will engage in research and scholarly activities, contribute to departmental projects, and participate in academic events, seminars, and conferences. Additional responsibilities include supporting accreditation and quality assurance processes,
collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives, and contributing to institutional development. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jalandhar.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including core concepts, emerging technologies, and engineering principles.
- Expertise in Programming and practical software development for teaching and mentoring students in coding and problem-solving.
- Knowledge and experience in Data Science, including data analysis, machine learning fundamentals, and related tools.
- Understanding of Cybersecurity concepts, practices, and applications relevant to modern computing environments.
- Experience in Curriculum Development and academic planning aligned with current industry and research trends.
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.E./M.Tech/M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Computer Science Engineering or related field).
- Prior teaching or academic experience, with strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic setting.
- Commitment to research, publications, and continuous professional development.
- Familiarity with educational technologies, learning management systems, and outcome-based education frameworks.
