Key Responsibilities & Duties
1. Teaching & Academic Instruction
* Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions on Community Health Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, and Environmental Health.
- Utilize up-to-date educational technologies, simulation tools, and interactive learning methodologies to enhance student engagement.
- Evaluate student performance through clinical assessments, term exams, research guidance, and assignments.
1. Clinical Supervision & Fieldwork
* Supervise and guide nursing students during clinical rotations in primary health centers (PHCs), urban/rural community health centers (CHCs), and home visits.
- Train students in family health assessments, health education campaigns, immunization programs, and epidemiological surveys.
- Coordinate with local public health authorities, NGOs, and community leaders to organize health camps, awareness drives, and school health services.
1. Research & Scholarly Activity
* Conduct independent or collaborative research in public health, community care, health policy, or nurse-led interventions.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed nursing and healthcare journals.
- Apply for internal or external research grants and participate in national/international conferences.
- Guide M.Sc. and Ph.D. candidates in their dissertations and research projects.
1. Institutional & Community Service
* Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation preparation (e.g., NAAC, INC inspection, university audits), and curriculum development committees.
- Serve as an academic advisor and mentor to nursing students.
- Plan and execute community extension activities and national health awareness days (e.g., World Health Day, Immunization Week).
Professional Registration
- Active registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) with the relevant Nursing Registration Council.
Work Experience & Skill Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of teaching/clinical experience post-M.Sc. Nursing (experience requirements may vary depending on institutional guidelines).
Core Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of community health protocols, preventative medicine, and epidemiology.
- Strong clinical and field demonstration skills.
- Excellent public speaking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in research methodology, bio-statistics, and academic writing.
- Leadership capabilities to handle student groups during rural and urban field postings.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
