Role & responsibilities

CAPEX & Project Procurement

- End-to-End Execution: Lead end-to-end procurement activities for all capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, plant expansions, and greenfield/brownfield engineering packages.
- Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for heavy machinery, process equipment, and project-based services to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Package Management: Float inquiries, prepare Request for Proposals (RFPs)/Request for Quotations (RFQs), conduct technical-commercial bid analyses (TBA/CBA), and lead negotiations with vendors and contractors.

Technical & Equipment Sourcing

- Direct procurement of key industrial equipment including reactors, pressure vessels, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, and specialized machinery.
- Manage procurement of piping items, valves, fittings, electrical and instrumentation (E&I;) systems, and automation packages.
- Oversee sourcing of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments to meet QA/QC requirements. Infrastructure, Civil & Utilities Sourcing
- Source civil, structural, and fabrication works, including contractor onboarding, rate contract finalizing, and measurement verification support.
- Procure utility packages such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, water treatment plants (WTP/ETP), compressors,



and power distribution systems.

Vendor Management & Contracting

- Build and maintain a robust database of reliable original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), fabrication contractors, and EPC service providers.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize complex commercial contracts, turn-key agreements, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
- Monitor vendor performance, lead times, expediting, and factory acceptance testing (FAT) schedules to align with overall project commissioning deadlines.

Cost & Quality Governance
- Implement cost-saving initiatives through value engineering, standardizations, and strategic negotiation.
- Ensure all procured equipment and material conform strictly to engineering specifications, quality standards (ISO/ASME/GMP where applicable), and safety protocols.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering. An MBA in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management is highly preferred.
- Experience: 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience in CAPEX, engineering, and plant expansion procurement within manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, heavy engineering, or industrial sectors.
