The ideal candidate should be an experienced food-processing skilled with 10–15 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, capable of independently managing production activities, leading teams, solving operational problems, and ensuring that production targets are achieved without compromising food safety, quality, productivity, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities in line with the production plan and customer requirements.

- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time, manpower, material, and cost parameters.

- Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, HACCP, food safety, and quality standards.

- Manage production manpower, including shift allocation, work distribution, attendance, training, and performance monitoring.

- Monitor raw material consumption, production yield, process losses, wastage, and rework, and take corrective actions where required.

- Ensure proper operation of production machinery and coordinate with the Maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

- Maintain production records, batch records, process parameters, shift reports, and other required documentation.

- Identify process bottlenecks and implement measures to improve productivity, efficiency, yield, and overall equipment utilization.

- Coordinate closely with Quality Assurance/Quality Control to maintain product quality and resolve production-related quality issues.

- Ensure proper housekeeping, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety within the production area.

- Investigate production deviations, breakdowns, process failures, and quality issues and support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

- Ensure proper handling, storage, and utilization of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.

- Support new product trials, process validation, product changeovers,



and process improvement projects.

- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for reducing wastage, downtime, energy consumption, and operational expenses.

- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, food safety, and company requirements.

- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and communicate performance to management.

- Lead and motivate production operators and supervisors to achieve departmental objectives.

- Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of production-related observations.

- Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Food Technology, Food Processing, Dairy Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
