Position : Assistant Manager Packaging Development and Procurement

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled to lead Packaging Development and Procurement. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical design and commercial sourcing. You will design robust, sustainable packaging that protects agro/FMCG products (like grains, pulses, spices, oils, or snacks) against moisture and pests, while aggressively managing the procurement budget and vendor ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Development & Innovation: Design structural packaging formats (bags, pouches, jars, laminates) that extend product shelf life and preserve agro-product freshness.
- End-to-End Procurement: Source raw packaging materials (PP/HDPE bags, flexible laminates, corrugation), negotiate pricing, manage commercial contracts,



and optimize procurement costs.
- Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure all packaging conforms to food-grade standards, chemical migration limits, and legal metrology/labeling laws.
- Supply Chain Support: Conduct commercial factory and transit trials to reduce material wastage, eliminate leakage, and optimize palletization for bulk logistics.
- Vendor Management: Build and audit a reliable vendor network to secure supply continuity, evaluate lead times, and track material quality.
- Packaging Material: Good exposure into packaging material understanding the right packaging for the products.
