1. Job Purpose
To manage and ensure smooth execution of day-to-day HR operations, including employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, attendance, HRIS, statutory compliance, employee records, HR reporting and employee engagement activities, while ensuring adherence to company policies and applicable labour laws.
1. Key Responsibilities
A. HR Operations
- Manage day-to-day HR operations for employees across the assigned location/business unit.
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle including joining, onboarding, transfers, promotions, confirmations, exits and full & final settlement.
- Maintain accurate and updated employee master data and personnel records.
- Ensure timely issuance of appointment, confirmation, promotion, transfer and other HR-related letters.
- Address employee queries related to HR policies, attendance, leave, payroll and benefits.
B. Payroll & Attendance Management
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing.
- Validate attendance, leave, payable days, new joiners, exits, salary revisions, deductions and other payroll inputs.
- Ensure accurate processing of statutory deductions such as PF, ESIC, PT, TDS and other applicable components.
- Monitor attendance, shift management, overtime, late marks and leave records.
C. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Bonus, Gratuity, Labour Welfare Fund and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Maintain statutory records and documentation for inspections and audits.
- Coordinate with external consultants/agencies wherever required.
E. Employee Relations
- Handle employee grievances and resolve day-to-day employee-related concerns.
- Maintain positive employee relations and ensure effective communication of HR policies and processes.
- Support employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
F. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities for assigned positions in coordination with the Talent Acquisition team and business stakeholders.
- Support interview scheduling, candidate coordination, documentation and offer/joining formalities.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Track manpower requirements and open positions.
G. Performance Management & Employee Development
- Coordinate PMS activities including goal setting, KRA, performance review and appraisal processes.
- Support confirmation and performance evaluation processes.
H. HR Policies & Process Improvement
- Ensure implementation of HR policies and standard operating procedures.
- Support development and implementation of HR initiatives aligned with business requirements.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies across departments/locations.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HR Operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Good understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Knowledge of payroll and attendance processes.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS/HRMS system.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and employee-handling capabilities.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
1. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy and timeliness of payroll inputs.
- Timely completion of employee lifecycle activities.
- Statutory compliance within defined timelines.
- Closure of employee grievances and HR queries.
- Timely completion of PMS and HR processes.
- Employee engagement and service delivery.
1. Educational Qualification
Mandatory: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources / Personnel Management or equivalent qualification.
1. Experience
5–8 years of relevant experience in HR Operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with hands-on exposure to payroll coordination, employee relations, statutory compliance and HR MIS.
1. Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a hands-on HR professional with strong operational knowledge, good stakeholder-management skills and the ability to independently manage HR processes while ensuring compliance, accuracy and timely execution.
