Job Purpose

The Senior Engineering Technician provides advanced technical support to manufacturing engineering teams by leading complex equipment setups, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives. This role serves as a subject matter expert in production systems, contributing to the design, validation, and optimization of manufacturing processes.

Technician mentors junior technicians, ensures compliance with quality and safety standards, and plays a key role in driving operational excellence across the plant.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform and oversee advanced equipment installations, calibrations, and repairs to support production goals and minimize downtime.

- Collaborate with engineers to identify inefficiencies, implement corrective actions, and validate process changes through testing and data analysis.

- Train and guide junior technicians and production staff on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.

- Maintain accurate records of technical activities, process changes, and equipment performance.

- Ensure adherence to industry standards and internal procedures.

- Work closely with engineering,



quality, and production teams to support new product launches, resolve technical issues, and improve overall manufacturing performance.

Education and Qualifications

- High School Diploma, Trade School, or Associate’s Degree

- 7+ years of experience

Skills

- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems used in automotive manufacturing.

- Skilled in identifying complex issues, analyzing data, and implementing effective solutions.

- Ability to lead technical tasks, mentor team members, and communicate effectively across departments.

- High level of accuracy in maintaining records, following procedures, and supporting audits and inspections.
