Position: Assistant Manager – International Sales (Africa)
Location: Mumbai
Reporting to: Manager – International Sales

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and develop business across assigned African markets.
• Work closely with locally appointed distributors and their sales teams.
• Support distributors in preparing and executing country-level sales and distribution plans.
• Drive market penetration, numerical distribution, product availability, visibility and brand presence.
• Work with distributor sales teams in the market to improve retail coverage and execution.
• Monitor primary sales, secondary sales, inventory, receivables and distributor performance.
• Review outlet coverage, retailer engagement, merchandising, product placement, pricing and promotions.
• Conduct regular market visits and accompany distributor sales teams whenever required.
• Establish market-working disciplines, including beat plans, outlet classification, sales targets and performance reviews.
• Identify opportunities across general trade, contemporary trade, wholesale and other relevant channels.




• Track competition, consumer trends, price positioning and new-product opportunities.
• Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, finance and product-development teams to address market requirements.
• Prepare sales forecasts, market reports and practical action plans.
• Ensure distributors maintain the desired standards of product and brand presentation.

Candidate Profile
• Approximately 8–10 years of sales experience in Beauty & Personal Care, cosmetics, fragrances, toiletries, home care or FMCG.
• Candidates with experience in international sales, African markets or export distributor management will be preferred.
• Candidates without international experience may also be considered if they have worked as an Area Sales Manager or Regional Sales Manager with a reputed FMCG company in India.
• Strong hands-on experience in retail sales and distribution is essential.
