Full Stack Engineer – CIS Team

About The Opportunity

MetLife is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing enterprise-grade applications. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who can design, build, test, and support secure, scalable, and maintainable systems while collaborating with global stakeholders, architects, product owners, and cross-functional delivery teams.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications using up-to-date engineering practices.
• Build backend services, REST APIs, and integration components using Java, Spring Boot, and related enterprise frameworks.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend components using modern web technologies and reusable UI patterns.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and application owners to deliver features in an Agile model.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, functional validation, release readiness, and production support activities.
• Apply secure coding, performance,



logging, monitoring, and resilience practices to improve application quality and stability.
• Support CI/CD, deployment automation, documentation, and change-management processes required for enterprise technology delivery.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack application development, preferably in enterprise systems.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices-based application development.
• Experience building frontend applications using React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, or equivalent modern web frameworks.
• Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, query optimization, and integration patterns.
• Experience working in Agile teams and contributing to sprint planning, development, testing, demos, and retrospectives.
• Hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines, source control, build automation,
