Role Description The Article Assistant will support audit and assurance engagements, primarily in the banking and financial services domain, at the Bengaluru office. This full-time, on-site role includes assisting in statutory and concurrent audits, preparing working papers, performing testing of controls, and documenting findings under the guidance of senior team members.
The Article
Assistant will help in data collection and analysis,
maintain accurate records, and support reporting and compliance activities. The role also involves coordinating with client personnel, following professional standards and firm methodologies, and participating in internal training to build technical and professional skills.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of accounting, auditing standards, and banking operations, preferably gained through CA articleship or similar professional training.
- Candidates should possess skills in documentation, report writing, and basic MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for audit working papers and presentations.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret financial data and identify irregularities or control gaps.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and internal teams in a professional manner.
- Candidates should possess a disciplined work ethic, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work under timelines in an in office audit environment.
- Enrollment in a Chartered Accountancy program or a relevant commerce/finance degree is preferred; prior experience in audit or banking-related assignments will be an added advantage.
