Role Description The Consult Infectious Diseases role at Amara Hospital is a full-time, on-site position based in Tirupati. The qualified in this role will evaluate and manage patients with infectious diseases, providing expert consultation to inpatient and outpatient services,



including complex and multi-drug resistant infections. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting detailed clinical assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, recommending evidence-based treatment plans, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. The role also involves contributing to antimicrobial stewardship programs, infection prevention and control initiatives, and supporting hospital policies to reduce healthcare-associated infections. Teaching and mentoring junior clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, as well as participating in clinical meetings and quality improvement activities, are integral parts of this position.
Qualifications

• Advanced clinical training and qualifications in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases (MD or equivalent), with valid medical licensure as per local regulatory requirements.
