Role Description The Final Year Project Lead – Design & Fabrication is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area. This role oversees the end-to-end planning, design, and fabrication phases of final year engineering projects, guiding learners through concept development, design reviews, prototyping, and testing. The Project Lead collaborates with faculty and laboratory staff to ensure safe and effective use of workshop, lab, and fabrication facilities,



and supports learners in applying theoretical knowledge to practical project outcomes. Daily responsibilities include mentoring project teams, coordinating schedules and resources, reviewing project documentation, ensuring adherence to academic and safety standards, and reporting progress to department leadership. The role also involves fostering industry-relevant practices, encouraging innovation, and supporting the continuous improvement of project-based learning within the institution.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in mechanical, manufacturing, or related engineering disciplines, with demonstrable experience in design and fabrication projects.
