Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior PostgreSQL Developer with 10+ years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL database development.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining database solutions, stored procedures, functions, complex SQL queries, and data-intensive applications. The role requires strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, query optimization, database design, and application integration.
Mandatory Skills
• 10+ years of experience in software/database development
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL
• Strong experience developing:

* Stored Procedures
* Functions
* Triggers
* Views
* CTEs
* Complex SQL Queries
• Strong understanding of database design and data modeling
• Experience in query optimization and performance tuning
• Strong understanding of:

* Indexes
* Execution Plans
* Transactions
* Locking
* Concurrency
• Experience working with large-volume databases




• Valuable knowledge of database normalization and optimization
• Experience with database migration and data conversion
• Understanding of REST/API-based application integration
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in Agile development environments

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL database solutions for enterprise applications.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Develop and optimize PL/pgSQL procedures and functions.
• Design efficient database schemas, tables, relationships, constraints, and indexes.
• Analyze execution plans and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Perform query tuning and database performance optimization.
• Identify and resolve:

* SQL performance issues
* Locking issues
* Deadlocks
* Transaction-related problems
• Develop database objects based on application and business requirements.
• Collaborate with application developers
