About the Role

As an Architectural Advisor – Kolo , you will guide homeowners across India throughout their home construction and interior journey, helping them make informed decisions across floor plans, architectural and interior designs, quotations, materials, qualified selection, costing, and execution.

We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in Architecture / Architectural Design who can manage pan-India homeowner projects end-to-end while bringing deeper architectural and interior planning expertise to the wider Advisory team.

Key Responsibilities

Homeowner Advisory

- Conduct consultations to understand homeowner requirements, project stage, budget, preferences, and concerns, and provide practical guidance throughout their construction journey.
- Advise homeowners across floor planning, architectural and interior design, quotations, materials, professional selection, costing, contracts, and other construction-related decisions. Coordinate with structural specialists wherever required.

Project Reviews
- Review floor plans, architectural and interior drawings, quotations, specifications, and project documents to identify gaps, concerns, and areas requiring clarification.
- Evaluate space utilisation, room layouts, circulation, natural light, ventilation, privacy, and design suitability for the homeowner’s needs, site, and budget.
- Translate technical information into simple, actionable recommendations that help homeowners make confident decisions.

Architectural Advisory Support
- Bring strong architectural expertise to floor plan optimisation, elevation and interior design reviews, material selection,



and design-related queries for your own homeowner projects.
- Support other Kolo Advisors with architectural reviews and complex planning, design, and construction-related queries.

Interior Planning and Design Support
- Review interior layouts, furniture placement, kitchen planning, storage, lighting, ceiling concepts, materials, finishes, and the practical use of each space.
- Guide homeowners in selecting suitable interior materials—including plywood, MDF, HDF, particle boards, laminates, veneers, hardware, adhesives, and finishes—based on the application, durability, maintenance, quality, and budget.
- Review interior quotations and specifications to identify scope gaps, unclear brands or materials, quantity concerns, and areas where the design can be aligned better with the homeowner’s budget.

Professional Selection and Project Progress
- Help homeowners identify and evaluate suitable Architects, Contractors, Interior Designers, Structural Engineers, and other professionals based on their requirements.
- Drive project progress through timely follow-ups, professional meetings, site visits, drawing revisions, quotation submissions, and other key milestones.

Homeowner Experience and Ownership
- Manage multiple pan-India homeowner projects simultaneously from the Kochi office while ensuring timely consultations, follow-ups, reporting, and consistent advisory support.
- Take end-to-end ownership of the homeowner experience and coordinate with the Lead Advisor and internal teams wherever required.





Who Should Apply Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in Architecture / Architectural Design. Experience in residential projects, individual home construction, or residential interiors is preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch). A Master’s degree in Architecture or a relevant specialisation is an added advantage.

Skills: Strong understanding of architectural planning, residential interiors, building design, and construction; practical knowledge of interior materials such as plywood grades, MDF, HDF, particle boards, laminates, veneers, hardware, adhesives, and finishes; ability to interpret architectural, interior, and working drawings; valuable problem-solving ability; and excellent customer communication skills.

Mindset: Someone who enjoys going beyond pure design work—interacting with homeowners, understanding their problems, and helping them make better home-building decisions.

Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory. Proficiency in Hindi is an added advantage for handling homeowners across India.
