About the Role

Taxplan Advisor is looking for an experienced Application Engineer to design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain scalable software applications. The role involves working across application development, APIs, databases, integrations, deployment, and performance optimization.

What You’ll Do

- Design, develop, and maintain web applications
- Build and integrate REST APIs and third-party services
- Work with frontend and backend development
- Design and optimize databases and SQL queries
- Troubleshoot application and production issues
- Improve application performance, scalability, and security
- Manage application deployment and updates
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with developers, product, and business teams
- Participate in testing, debugging, and code reviews
- Maintain technical documentation

Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in application/software development
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript




- Experience with React / Next.js or similar frontend frameworks
- Experience with Node.js / Python / PHP or similar backend technologies
- Solid understanding of REST APIs & API integrations
- Experience with SQL / MySQL / PostgreSQL or similar databases
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub and version control
- Understanding of deployment and application lifecycle
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and ability to work independently

Good to Have
- Experience with AWS / Azure / cloud platforms
- Knowledge of CI/CD workflows
- Docker or containerization experience
- Experience with third-party integrations
- Understanding of application security and performance optimization
