In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting FutureNow Centers, where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your Role and Responsibilities As an Application Consultant: Site Reliability Engineer, you will specialize in automating platform and infrastructure management tasks, ensuring seamless integration with application development workflows. By employing software development methodologies, you will build automation and monitoring solutions to support application functions, enhancing overall reliability and efficiency.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Automate Platform Tasks: Design and implement automation solutions to streamline platform and infrastructure management, bridging the gap between application development and infrastructure management.
- Develop Monitoring Solutions: Build and deploy monitoring solutions to support application functions, ensuring seamless integration with application development workflows and enhancing overall reliability and efficiency.
- Foster Collaboration: Collaborate with application development teams to ensure alignment and effective integration of automation and monitoring solutions, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Employ Software Methodologies: Apply software development methodologies to develop and deliver high-quality automation and monitoring solutions, driving efficiency and reliability in application functions.

- Automation Development Experience: Exposure to designing and implementing automation solutions for platform and infrastructure management, with a focus on integrating with application development workflows.

- Software Development Methodologies: Exposure to applying software development methodologies to develop and deliver high-quality automation and monitoring solutions, enhancing overall reliability and efficiency.
- Collaboration and Integration: Experience working collaboratively with application development teams to ensure alignment and effective integration of automation and monitoring solutions.
- Infrastructure Management: Exposure to managing and maintaining platform and infrastructure environments, with a focus on automation and monitoring.

- Automation Scripting Knowledge: Exposure to scripting languages and automation tools, enhancing ability to design and implement automation solutions for platform and infrastructure management.
- Cloud Platform Familiarity: Experience working with cloud-based platforms and infrastructure, supporting the development of monitoring solutions and automation tasks.
- Agile Methodology Understanding: Exposure to Agile software development methodologies, facilitating collaboration with application development teams and driving efficiency in solution delivery.
