Role Description The Apparel Merchandiser is a full-time, in office role based in Gurugram. The role involves managing buyer communication, understanding product requirements, and translating tech-packs and design briefs into clear manufacturing instructions. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with design, sampling, production, and quality teams; tracking timelines and approvals for patterns, samples, fits, and pre-production pieces; and ensuring accurate costings, order confirmations, and packaging details.

The Apparel

Merchandiser will monitor order progress, resolve issues related to fabrics, trims,



and production, and support continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role also requires maintaining detailed documentation and reports to support internal teams and brand partners.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for clear interaction with buyers, internal teams, and vendors.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to manage brand relationships and handle inquiries and issues professionally.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Marketing skills to support business development, present product capabilities, and understand market trends.
- Candidates should possess Retail awareness to understand consumer preferences, category performance, and merchandising requirements.
- Relevant experience in apparel merchandising, preferably in activewear, sportswear, or athleisure manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, sourcing of performance fabrics and trims, and production processes.
- Ability to manage multiple programmes, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google sheets and basic data/document management; familiarity with tech-packs and costing tools is a requirement.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising, Textile Technology, or a related field is preferred.
