Senior QA Automation Engineer – Selenium & API Testing

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium, Java, API Test Automation, and BFSI domain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions for web and API-based applications.

Experience in Personal Finance and Lending domains will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.
- Develop and execute automated tests for REST/SOAP APIs and validate API functionality, integrations, and data.
- Create and maintain robust automation frameworks and reusable test components.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA team members to resolve quality issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis for defects and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing methodologies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Prepare and communicate test execution status, defect metrics,



and quality reports to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–9 years of overall IT software testing experience.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Selenium-based QA/Test Automation.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in API Test Automation.
- Minimum 7 years of experience working in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance) domain.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test life cycle, and defect management.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
