Role Overview

We are looking for an Android Wi-Fi Development Engineer to develop, integrate, debug and maintain Wi-Fi capabilities for Android-based In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems.

The candidate will work with Android AOSP, Android networking and Wi-Fi stack components and collaborate with cross-functional teams, chipset vendors and hardware teams to deliver robust Wi-Fi functionality.

Key Responsibilities

· Review Wi-Fi and networking requirements and work with the requirements team to resolve issues and complete specification sign-off.

· Create high-level and detailed software designs and prepare software test plans.

· Develop and integrate Wi-Fi features and software modules for Android-based IVI platforms.

· Work with Android AOSP networking and Wi-Fi stack components.

· Work with Android Wi-Fi framework components, Wi-Fi Manager and Connectivity Manager.

· Integrate and troubleshoot Wi-Fi functionality across Android framework, middleware, native and chipset layers.

· Collaborate with Wi-Fi chipset vendors and internal teams to resolve software and integration dependencies.

· Analyze Wi-Fi logs, Android logs, traces and PCAP captures to identify connectivity and performance issues.

· Perform root cause analysis for Wi-Fi connectivity, authentication, stability and performance issues.

· Support board bring-up, Wi-Fi calibration and hardware/software integration activities.

· Perform static analysis and resolve software quality issues.

· Develop scripts and tools to automate Wi-Fi testing.

· Execute development, integration and stability testing and prepare test reports.

· Create technical reports covering software development, issue resolution and testing.

Mandatory Skills

· 5–10 years of experience in Wi-Fi software development.

· Strong development experience with IEEE 802.11n/ac/ax standards.





· Robust understanding of Wi-Fi architecture and Wi-Fi protocol stack.

· Hands-on experience with Android AOSP and Android networking/Wi-Fi stack.

· Experience with Android Wi-Fi Framework, Wi-Fi Manager and Connectivity Manager.

· Hands-on experience with wpa_supplicant and/or Hostapd.

· Experience integrating and debugging Wi-Fi features on Android platforms.

· Strong Wi-Fi troubleshooting and log analysis skills.

· Good understanding of Wi-Fi security including WPA2/WPA3.

· Good programming experience in C/C++.

Preferred Skills

· Experience with Android Automotive / Android-based IVI platforms.

· Experience with Wi-Fi chipset integration.

· Experience with Wi-Fi AP, STA and Wi-Fi Direct.

· Experience analyzing Wi-Fi PCAP/Wireshark captures.

· Experience with Android HAL, native services or vendor Wi-Fi components.

· Experience with board bring-up and hardware/software debugging.

· Experience developing automated Wi-Fi test tools/scripts.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
