- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel)
- Triage and classify incoming security incidents based on severity and priority
- Perform initial investigation and analysis of potential threats, malware, and suspicious activity
- Escalate confirmed or complex incidents to Tier 2/Tier 3 analysts as per defined procedures
- Document incidents, findings, and actions taken in ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and runbooks for incident response
- Conduct basic threat hunting and vulnerability awareness activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support security operations
