Dimensional Variation Analysis Engineer
Scope of Role
DVA, Tolerance stackup
Area of Responsibility
• Lead and perform dimensional variation analysis using 3DCS (v7.8) & VisVSA tools.
• Develop and implement strategies to control and reduce dimensional variation in products and processes.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to identify potential sources of variation and recommend corrective actions.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of analysis results, methodologies, and corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Conduct root cause analysis for dimensional variation issues and implement effective solutions.




• Support the development and validation of measurement systems and inspection processes.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on dimensional tolerances and specifications.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in dimensional analysis techniques and tools.

Knowledge / Experience – 6 to 9 Years
Essential:
• Solid hands-on experience in Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA) and tolerance stack‑up analysis for complex assemblies.
• Proficient in 3DCS v7.8 for Monte Carlo simulation, RSS, and worst‑case dimensional analysis.
• GD&T; expert with advanced application of ASME Y14.5 standards for functional and producible designs.
• Skilled in 2D and 3D dimensional analysis using drawings and CAD-based models.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 for model interpretation, assembly analysis, and design evaluation.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on dimensional v
