Role Overview: The role will focus on building a structured growth roadmap across animal feed, feed ingredients, feed additives, premixes, and supplements, identifying attractive market segments, evaluating product and technology opportunities, driving strategic partnerships, supporting acquisition/JV/M&A; evaluation, and developing institutional and B2B business channels.

The role will require strong understanding of the Indian animal nutrition and feed market, species-wise demand dynamics, feed production models, ingredient sourcing, formulation-linked commercial models, quality systems, institutional sales opportunities, and investment-led business building.

Qualification & Experience1. MBA / PGDM in Finance / Marketing

- B.V.Sc., B.Sc. / M.Sc. Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Dairy Technology, Veterinary Science, Feed Technology, Agriculture, or related discipline will be an added advantage

2-3 years of experience in similar responsibility

1. Market Strategy & Business Planning

- Conduct detailed market assessment for animal nutrition and animal feed across India, covering poultry, cattle, aqua, swine, and other relevant livestock categories.
- Identify priority species, geographies, customer segments, pricing bands, volume pools, channel structures, and margin opportunities.
- Develop category-wise entry strategy covering compound feed, feed ingredients, premixes, mineral mixtures, feed additives, supplements, and specialty nutrition products.
- Map competitive landscape, including integrated feed players, regional feed manufacturers, nutrition companies, ingredient suppliers, distributors, and institutional suppliers.
- Build business plans, revenue projections, gross margin assumptions, working capital requirements, investment requirements, and phased scale-up roadmap for the animal nutrition business.

2 Product Portfolio & Technology Sourcing

- Identify commercially attractive feed products, nutrition technologies, formulations, additives, and specialty solutions suitable for Matixs entry strategy.
- Evaluate opportunities for technology licensing, formulation partnerships, private label arrangements, exclusive distribution, and co-development models.
- Work with technical partners, nutrition experts, formulation specialists,



research institutions, and feed companies to source differentiated products.
- Support evaluation of product acquisition opportunities, including existing commercial formulations, specialty additives, branded feed products, and regional nutrition portfolios.
- Assess product fitment by species, life stage, farmer economics, feed conversion benefits, channel acceptance, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

3 Production Strategy & Supply Chain Planning

- Develop production strategy for animal feed and nutrition products, including manufacturing models, plant location logic, tolling partnerships, processing, quality control and inventory planning.
- Evaluate make vs outsource vs partnership models for compound feed, premixes, mineral mixtures, additives, and specialty nutrition products.
- Identify suitable manufacturing partners, toll manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, quality testing partners, packaging vendors, and logistics partners.
- Support planning for raw material sourcing, formulation management, feed milling, mixing, packaging, warehousing, distribution, and quality assurance systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to estimate production economics, conversion costs, ingredient cost sensitivity, working capital needs and scalability.

4 Institutional & B2B Business Development

- Develop institutional sales strategy for dairy cooperatives, poultry integrators, aqua clusters, livestock development agencies, FPOs, NGOs, CSR-led livelihood programs and large B2B buyers.
- Identify tender-based, bulk supply and programmatic livestock nutrition opportunities across priority species and states.
- Build engagement models with institutional buyers, feed mills, integrators, farmer networks, development agencies, and Agri/livestock value-chain partners.
- Support creation of proposals, commercial offers, partnership models,



pilot programs, and institutional business pipelines.
- Evaluate opportunities for bundling animal nutrition solutions with Matixs existing Agri-input reach, rural channel strengths, and adjacent business expansion plans.

5 M&A;, Partnerships & Investment Evaluation

- Identify animal feed companies, nutrition brands, premix/additive platforms, regional feed manufacturers, ingredient companies and technology providers for potential acquisition, JV, or strategic partnership.
- Conduct preliminary screening of targets based on portfolio strength, market access, manufacturing capability, formulation depth, financial profile, and scalability.
- Support due diligence across commercial, operational, technical, regulatory, manufacturing, supply chain and financial dimensions.
- Prepare investment notes, board-level presentations, valuation inputs and strategic rationale for inorganic growth opportunities.
- Work with advisors, consultants, investment banks, legal teams and internal stakeholders during M&A;/private equity style evaluation processes.

6 Internal Strategy & Cross-functional Coordination

- Work closely with leadership to define Matixs animal nutrition business ambition, entry model and capital deployment plan.
- Coordinate with commercial, finance, legal, regulatory, supply chain, technical and manufacturing teams for project execution.
- Build dashboards, market maps, partner trackers, target lists, opportunity funnels and strategic review documents.
- Support leadership discussions, management reviews and board-level updates.
- Track progress against strategic milestones, business development pipeline, partnership discussions and investment priorities.

Competency (Functional/ Behavioral)

- Strong understanding of Indian animal nutrition and feed markets across poultry, cattle, aqua, swine and other livestock categories.
- Ability to evaluate market size, category attractiveness, species-wise demand, state-level chance, farmer/integrator economics and competitive intensity.
- Working knowledge of feed production models, ingredient sourcing, formulation economics, toll manufacturing, quality requirements and distribution structures
