Educational Qualifications

Akila Indiya Vanoli Nilayam, Puducherry, invites applications for engagement of each one Part Time Correspondents (PTC) at Puducherry & Karaikal Districts and Mahe

Region on part time contractual basis as per Revised Scheme for engagement of PTCs

(available at NBD website: www.newsonair.gov.in under PTC Guidelines section).

1. Age Limit: 24-45 years.
2. PG Diploma/Degree in Journalism/Mass Media or Graduate with minimum 2 years

journalistic experience.

Remuneration

1. Should reside at the district Headquarters or within a radius of 10 kms. from the

District Headquarters/Municipal limit in the concerned district.
1. Knowledge of computers and word processing.

Engagement Procedure: Monthly remuneration will be calculated as per NSD's circular No. RNU /PTC

Guidelines /Modification /2022/ 1426, dated-22.12.2022, subject to satisfactory rendering of service to be certified by RNU Head, Akashvani with maximum limit of

Rs. 9050/- per month including conveyance and communication charges.

(a) Engagement of Part-Time Correspondents (PTCs) will be on contractual retainership basis

(b) The persons already in Central/ State

Government/Administration of the Union Territory or in any Public Service

Undertaking (PSU) and member of any Political Partyy will not be considered for engagement as PTC.

Government service

(c) The selection process will involve an interview. Candidates on the basis of qualifications, professional experience, knovwledge about district and state,

current affairs, awareness of welfare schemes of the Central Government,

acquaintance with Radio news, journalistic aptitude, writing skills, familiarization with communication technologies etc.

(d) On initial engagement of a Part time Correspondent, his/





her work performance

Would be monitored for three months. the contract will be renewed on a monthly basis. If his/her work is found to be satisfactory during this period,

he/ she may be offered yearly contract till the candidate attains the age of 60 years.

The certificate for satisfactory performance should be issued by the RNU head.

The date of receipt of application in prescritbed proforma along with self-attested copies of required documents and one recent photograph should reach the Head of Office,

Akashvani (All India Radio), Indira Nagar, Puducherry, -605006 on before 18th July 2023.
