What You Will Do
Based in the India Global Capability Center, the Senior Actuarial Lead will serve as the senior actuarial leader for the GCC and establish a high-performing organization capable of delivering a broad range of actuarial capabilities. The role provides enterprise-level technical and people leadership across pricing and product development, valuation and reserving, modeling, forecasting, assumption management, capital and risk analytics,
financial reporting, and actuarial transformation, in close partnership with U.S.-based leaders and global stakeholders.
What You Can Expect
- Define and execute the GCC actuarial strategy, operating model, capability roadmap, workforce plan, service expectations, decision rights, and handoffs with U.S.-based teams.
- Attract, lead, coach, and retain actuarial leaders and professionals, establishing career paths, succession plans, credentialing support, technical development, and a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
- Provide technical oversight across pricing, product development, valuation, reserving, financial reporting, modeling, forecasting, experience studies, assumption management, capital, risk, asset liability management, and strategic analytics.
- Drive actuarial transformation, automation, process optimization, and modernization using Python, cloud-based tools, advanced analytics, standardized methods, reusable assets, effective data stewardship, and emerging technologies.
- Build trusted relationships across Actuarial, Finance, Risk, Product, Technology, Data, and Audit while maintaining professional standards, governance, documentation, controls, testing evidence, and audit readiness.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Fellowship-level actuarial designation from the Society of Actuaries,
Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, Institute of Actuaries of India, or an equivalent internationally recognized body.
- Ten or more years of progressively responsible actuarial experience across multiple capabilities, with at least five years of leadership experience building, scaling, or transforming teams or capabilities.
- Deep understanding of U.S. life insurance, annuity, retirement, or protection products, along with U.S. GAAP, statutory reporting, actuarial governance, model risk management, and control expectations.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to lead effectively across global businesses, functions, and time zones.
What will set you apart?
- Experience leading a broad actuarial function or serving in a chief actuary, deputy chief actuary, or comparable senior actuarial leadership capacity.
- Experience establishing or expanding actuarial capabilities in a global capability center, shared services organization, center of excellence, or global delivery model.
- Experience across U.S. pricing, product development, valuation, forecasting, experience studies, assumption governance, capital, risk, asset liability management, reinsurance, or hedging.
- Experience with AXIS, Prophet, MG-ALFA, Polysystems, or similar actuarial modeling platforms.
- Experience with Python, process automation, cloud-based data platforms, data pipelines, advanced analytics, or AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Experience leading actuarial transformation, model modernization, integrated modeling, or enterprise forecasting initiatives.
