Inviting applications for Accounts Payable - Travel and Expense role

Location: Kolkata (work from office)

Responsibilities

- Review digital and physical travel expense claims for accuracy, missing information
- Match submitted expenses against the official company travel policy to identify unauthorized spending or out-of-policy items.
- Cross-check transaction items with submitted receipts, credit card statements, and necessary vendor invoices.
- Ensure that claims follow local tax regulations, including correct tax classification and business expense write-off rules.
- Detect, Flag, and investigate unapproved costs, suspicious transactions, or duplicate receipts.
- Contact employees and managing leaders directly to resolve expense errors, request missing documentation, or explain why an item was rejected.




- Guide employees on how to navigate corporate travel booking tools and expense system - SAP Concur.
- Suggest updates for corporate travel guidelines to plug financial loopholes and optimize business spending.
- Maintain neat digital records of audited claims, approvals, and policy exceptions for year-end financial audits.
