: Accounts Executive – Resort

Job Overview

We are looking for an Accounts Executive with 2–3 years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry to manage daily accounting operations at a resort located on East Coast Road (ECR), Chennai.

The ideal candidate should have experience in hotel or resort accounting, billing, vendor payments, GST compliance, bank reconciliation and financial reporting. Previous experience working in a hotel or resort is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Accounting & Financial Operations

- Maintain daily accounting records, including receipts, payments, expenses and journal entries.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Monitor daily cash transactions and maintain petty cash records.
- Reconcile daily sales collections from different resort departments.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.

2. Resort Revenue & Billing

- Verify daily revenue generated from room bookings, restaurants and other resort services.
- Reconcile cash, UPI, credit card and online payment transactions.
- Verify OTA collections from platforms such as Booking.com, Agoda and MakeMyTrip.
- Coordinate with the Front Office and F&B; departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding guest and corporate payments.

3. Vendor Payments & Purchase Accounting

- Verify purchase bills, invoices and supporting documentation.
- Process vendor payments and maintain vendor ledgers.
- Reconcile supplier statements and outstanding payments.
- Coordinate with the Purchase and Stores departments to ensure proper expense recording.
- Assist with inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.

GST & Statutory Compliance

- Assist in preparing GST returns and maintaining GST-related documentation.
- Verify GST calculations on guest invoices and vendor bills.
- Assist with TDS calculations and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors.

5. Bank Reconciliation & Financial Reporting

- Perform regular bank reconciliation.
- Prepare expense statements and monthly financial summaries.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and vendor payables.
- Assist in preparing monthly profit and loss statements.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation for management review.

6. Audit & Documentation

- Maintain organised accounting records and supporting documents.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Verify invoices, vouchers and payment approvals.
- Ensure financial transactions follow the resort's accounting procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.Com, M.Com or MBA in Finance.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Previous experience in a hotel, resort or hospitality establishment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Familiarity with hotel management software or property management systems.
- Understanding of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation and accounting procedures.
- Experience handling cash, card and online payment reconciliation.
- Robust numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with hands-on experience in hotel or resort accounting, including room revenue reconciliation, restaurant billing, OTA settlements, vendor payments and inventory accounting, will be preferred.

The candidate should be comfortable coordinating with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Purchase and Stores teams.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
