Role Summary We are seeking an Accounting Associate to support accounting and financial reporting processes through the accurate and timely preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial schedules and related supporting workpapers. This role is based in Bengaluru, India. The Accounting Associate supports accounting and financial reporting processes through the accurate and timely preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial schedules and related supporting workpapers. Working under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Associate performs assigned accounting activities in accordance with US GAAP, company policies, established close timelines and internal control requirements The Accounting Associate works closely with other members of the Accounting organization and US-based stakeholders to obtain complete and accurate information, research routine discrepancies and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities. The role is expected to maintain well-supported workpapers, respond timely to reviewer feedback, identify exceptions promptly and escalate matters requiring additional review or accounting judgment.

Primary Role

- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, financial schedules and supporting workpapers for assigned entities and accounting processes in accordance with established procedures and close timelines.
- Perform assigned month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, ensuring deliverables are complete, accurate and submitted timely for Accounting Manager review.
- Reconcile balance sheet and other assigned accounts, research differences and outstanding items, document findings and resolve routine discrepancies or escalate exceptions as appropriate.
- Prepare supporting analyses for significant account balances, accruals and other financial statement activity, ensuring calculations and conclusions are appropriately documented.
- Review source-system and accounting data for completeness and accuracy,



investigate identified differences and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve routine data-quality issues.
- Maintain complete and organized accounting workpapers, supporting documentation and audit trails in accordance with company policies, internal control requirements and established review standards.
- Perform assigned accounting controls and procedures, including appropriate preparation evidence, documentation and adherence to established approval and segregation-of-duties requirements.
- Respond to Accounting Manager review comments timely, make required corrections and incorporate feedback into future work to improve accuracy and consistency.
- Support internal and external audit requests by preparing assigned schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation for management review.
- Collaborate with US-based Accounting personnel and other internal teams to obtain information required for close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Monitor assigned accounting tasks and close deadlines, proactively identifying missing information, unresolved items or other risks to timely completion.
- Identify recurring accounting issues and opportunities to improve or standardize processes, reduce manual effort and increase the effective use of Oracle Fusion, FloQast, Excel and other automation tools.
- Maintain proficiency in Oracle Fusion, close management software, Excel and other systems and analytical tools used by the Accounting function.
- Work from the Bengaluru office under the hybrid working model, with working hours aligned to provide meaningful daily overlap with US business hours. Flexibility is expected during month-end and year-end close, audit periods and other peak reporting cycles.
- Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field is required; progress toward CA, CMA or another relevant qualified qualification is an advantage.
- Two or more years of accounting, financial reporting or related experience; experience within a large,



multi-entity organization or shared-services environment is preferred.

- Working knowledge of core accounting concepts, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, balance sheet accounts and period-end close.
- Understanding of US GAAP or experience working within a US-based accounting environment is preferred.
- Experience using an ERP or financial accounting system is required; Oracle Fusion experience is preferred.
- Experience using close management software platforms such as BlackLine or FloQast is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to prepare accurate accounting work within recurring close deadlines.
- Ability to research account differences and other routine accounting issues, document findings clearly and escalate matters requiring additional judgment or review.
- Basic understanding of internal controls, approval requirements and segregation-of-duties concepts within an accounting environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assigned deliverables and recurring deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with reconciliations, account analysis, lookups, pivot tables and other commonly used functions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in business English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders across time zones.
- Ability to work effectively within established accounting procedures and review standards, respond constructively to reviewer feedback and continuously improve work quality.
- Experience within real estate, property management, hospitality or another asset-intensive, multi-entity business is preferred but not required.
