Role Description This is a full time, on-site Accountant role based in Mumbai. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial transactions, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.

Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with monthly and annual closing activities. The role also involves supporting budget preparation, monitoring cash flow, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, and preparing financial reports for management. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams, respond to audit queries,



and help implement process improvements in the finance function.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Candidates should possess skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and cash flow monitoring to support business decision-making.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets, with the ability to maintain accurate digital records.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit support practices.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with deadlines in a retail trading environment.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and management.
- A relevant degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce is preferred; professional certifications in accounting or taxation are an advantage.
