Role Description The Academic Student Counsellor at FGSN will provide guidance to students interested in sports-related academic pathways and career opportunities, with a focus on connecting them to suitable programs, and development opportunities.

This full time, on-site role in Mumbai or Hybrid involves understanding student interests and academic backgrounds, and advising on appropriate courses, universities, and sports education options. The counsellor will collaborate with internal teams to align academic advice with FGSN’s sports technology and media initiatives, support admission and enrollment processes, and maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.



Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to student and parent inquiries, delivering information sessions or workshops, and ensuring a supportive, professional experience for all stakeholders.

The role also involves staying updated on education trends, sports management programs, and relevant academic pathways to provide informed and current guidance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners on suitable academic and sports-related career paths.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication and active listening.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to provide a professional, respectful, and supportive experience to students and families.
- Candidates should possess a background in Education, such as experience in academic advising, teaching, or education administration.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with sports management or sports education programs, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, strong organizational and documentation skills, and proficiency with basic office and digital communication tools.
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in academic or career counseling are an advantage.
