Position: Academic Counsellor

We are looking for a proactive and student-focused Academic Counsellor to support student admissions, programme counselling, lead conversion and institutional engagement.

Key Responsibilities1. Student Counselling & Admissions

- Counsel prospective students regarding TEVVO Academy's courses, certifications, programme structure and career opportunities.
- Understand students' academic backgrounds, interests and career aspirations to recommend suitable programmes.
- Handle incoming enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, email and other communication channels.
- Follow up with prospective students and convert qualified leads into admissions.
- Guide students throughout the admission and enrolment process.

2. Lead Management & Conversion

- Manage student enquiries and leads generated through digital marketing, college activities and other sources.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students.
- Track enquiries, counselling outcomes, admissions and conversion rates.
- Maintain accurate student databases and daily counselling reports.
- Achieve assigned admission and enrolment targets.

3. College & Institutional Coordination

- Coordinate with college representatives, faculty members and placement departments for student outreach activities.
- Support seminars, workshops, orientation programmes and admission campaigns conducted at partner institutions.
- Assist in student registration and enrolment activities for college-based programmes.

4. Student Relationship Management





- Maintain qualified relationships with students and parents.
- Provide accurate information regarding course schedules, certification, learning modes and programme requirements.
- Address student queries and coordinate with the academic team for resolution.
- Support students during onboarding and programme commencement.

5. Reporting & Administration

- Prepare daily and weekly enquiry and admission reports.
- Maintain follow-up records and admission documentation.
- Coordinate with the marketing and academic teams to improve lead conversion.
- Ensure timely communication with prospective and enrolled students.

Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in academic counselling, educational sales, admissions or student relationship management preferred.
- Freshers with strong communication and interpersonal skills may also apply.
- Experience in an educational institution, training academy or EdTech company will be an advantage.

Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English and Tamil.
- Strong counselling, persuasion and follow-up abilities.
- Student-centric attitude and relationship-building skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, Google Sheets and CRM tools.
- Ability to work with admission targets and deadlines.
- Professional, confident and approachable personality.
