Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant at the Global Accounting Operations Center (GAOC) serves as a strategic partner within Qualcomm’s Controllership Team, leading global closing and reporting activities. This role is responsible for driving excellence in General Accounting, Treasury, Receivables, Cash & Banking, Payments, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and more. The Senior Accountant leverages and experienced in AI, automation, analytics, and audit technologies to optimize accounting operations, ensure financial integrity, and support forward-thinking business initiatives. The ideal candidate will champion intelligent process enhancements and adopt data-driven insights to transform finance operations at scale.
Core AI-Driven Finance and Accounting Responsibilities




• Lead US GAAP general accounting using advanced AI tools and automation platforms to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all entries and documentation.

• Oversee month-end close, including journal preparation, posting, ledger and trial balance review, and variance analysis, utilizing AI for process optimization and meeting business deadlines.

• Maintain and analyze the general ledger, applying analytics and AI-driven tools for revenue and cost recognition; perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations per Qualcomm policy.

• Act as a subject matter expert for designated accounts, providing insight through automated analysis and reporting.

• Prepare and remediate quarterly balance sheet analyses using AI-powered review solutions.

• Deliver timely HQ and ad hoc reports, leveraging automation for accuracy and efficiency.

• Recommend, design, and implement improvements to ledger systems and workflows, emphasizing automation and AI-assisted standardization.
