About the role: The Lab Manager will be responsible for the overall management and operational efficiency of the laboratory. This includes maintaining lab space, managing consumables, overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting the installation of current equipment,



and developing and reviewing processes and procedures for equipment usage and lab workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Lab Space Management:
· Ensure optimal layout and cleanliness of lab areas.
· Drive safe workplace standards like 5S
· Coordinate with facilities for infrastructure needs and upgrades.
· Identify Safety needs as per local/global building codes and enforce them
· Ensure proper storage and labeling of chemicals and materials

Annual Planning & Execution:
· Establish annual inventory/capital equipment plan / budget
· Maintain inventory of lab supplies and consumables proactively as per user needs
· Implement Kanban or similar systems to avoid shortages
· Operational Oversight:
· Monitor lab activities to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
· Track and report metrics such as equipment downtime, 5S violations, and TPM compliance
