Position Summary
The E&I; Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for end-to-end quality assurance of critical Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I;) bought-out equipment. The role ensures that supplied equipment meets customer requirements, approved engineering documents, purchase-order specifications, inspection and test plans, applicable standards, and statutory requirements before final release.

Key Responsibilities
• Own quality activities for critical E&I; bought-out items, including:• Electric motors
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Motor Monitoring Systems (MMS)
• Transformers
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• Unit Control Panels (UCPs)
• Other electrical, instrumentation, control, and protection panels

• Perform supplier source inspections and incoming inspections in line with:• Customer specifications
• Approved drawings and datasheets
• Purchase-order requirements
• Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
• Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs)
• Applicable IEC, ISO, customer, and project-specific standards

• Review and witness routine tests,



type tests, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), ensuring:• Approved test procedures are followed
• Test instruments are calibrated and traceable
• Test results comply with specification and standard requirements
• Test reports are complete, accurate, and approved before release

• Apply IEC 60034 series requirements for electrical rotating machines and motors, including motor performance, efficiency, temperature rise, insulation, vibration, noise, routine testing, and certification requirements.
• Verify compliance of Ex equipment with IEC 60079 series requirements, hazardous-area classifications, Ex marking, protection concepts, equipment certification, and validity of Ex certificates.
• Coordinate supplier inspections, third-party inspection agency (TPI) activities, customer inspections, and internal quality requirements to meet project schedules and inspection hold points.
