ROLE PURPOSE
RightWalk Foundation (RWF) addresses poverty and inequality by activating transformative social policies end to end, through Policy Advocacy, System Design, Capacity Building and Productive Delivery — engaging System Leadership, Lawmakers and Communities. This work has unlocked policies such as RTE 12.1(c) in Uttar Pradesh, directly impacting over 800,000 children across 75 districts and 20,000 schools, and has activated Apprenticeship policy in several states, enabling over 70,000 youth to find skilling and employment opportunities.
The Manager, Strategic Communications works with the PMU Head – Maharashtra and Senior Management overseeing Strategic Communications on the planning and implementation of RWF's stakeholder communications and outreach in the state. This role owns all communication channels for the Maharashtra PMU and positions RightWalk as an influencer and implementer of public policies promoting equity, inclusion and justice — working closely with teams across the PMU's key focus areas.

1. Communications Strategy
• Develop and deliver the strategic communications plan to support the Foundation's objectives, extend awareness of its work, and increase its reach into key sectors and audience groups.
• Devise communications plans around all active programs/projects of the PMU.
• Work with the management team and staff to identify potential internal and external communications opportunities and threats, and proactively manage them.
• Serve as a communications adviser to the PMU management team.
• Conceptualise and implement the communications plan, including design and dissemination of RWF's knowledge collaterals and key accomplishments.
