nAcron Polymer Products is an established manufacturing company with over 11 years of experience. We design and manufacture consumer products, with a solid focus on silicone and related manufacturing technologies.

nWe are looking for a Senior 3D CAD Designer – Product Development who is rapid, technically strong, comfortable working independently, and enjoys turning physical products and ideas into accurate, manufacturable 3D designs.
n
nThis is not just a CAD operator role. We are looking for someone who understands shape, surfaces, manufacturing and product design .
n
What you will work onnA large part of the role involves reverse engineering and developing consumer products .
nExamples of work include:

- n
- Receiving an imported consumer product and accurately recreating it in 3D for local manufacturingn
- Designing silicone kitchenware, household products and other consumer productsn
- Creating complex curved and organic surfaces from physical samples or reference designsn
- Modifying existing products to improve manufacturability or functionalityn
- Designing moulds and tooling for silicone products — training will be provided where requiredn
- Designing jigs, fixtures and straightforward production aids for use inside our factoryn
- Creating prototypes on our resin 3D printers to physically verify designs before toolingn

- Create accurate 3D product modelsn
- Reverse engineer products from physical samplesn
- Create 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerancesn
- Maintain drawing revisions and CAD documentationn
- Work closely with the Product Head, tooling team and factoryn
- Operate and manage resin 3D printers for prototypingn
- Design jigs and fixtures for intern
